One sweet pea lives all alone
In a pea pod house that she calls her own
She spends all day singing her song
“I’m a little sweet pea and I want to get along”
 
Two sweet peas are the best of friends
One said to the other “I hope it never ends”
They spend all day singing their song
“We’re little Sweet Pea’s and we love to get along” 
 
Three sweet peas get along very well
Living life together in their pea pod shell
They spend all day singing their song
We’re little sweet pea’s and we try to get along
 
Four sweet peas were getting quite tight
They started to squabble, and they started to fight
They spend all day singing their song
“We’re peas in a pod so we have to get along”
 
Five peas in a pod could just barely fit
One said to the others “I think it’s time we split”
And that’s when it happened, when the pea pod pursed
and they flew through the air as the pea pod burst
 
They flew through the air still singing their song
They landed on the ground and it didn’t take long
They grew deep roots becoming sweet pea plants
growing up as tall as a scarecrow’s pants
 
They grew pea pods with so many sweet peas
and they all lived together as a happy family, singing…
“we’re little sweet peas and we sing our song
we always play together and we try to get along
we love each other and we love our friends
were little sweet peas and hope it never ends”
